I miss rain. We haven’t had a good rain here in sooo long, 5 weeks to be exact. The grass is dry, brittle and brown andthe trees are prematurly changing colors. I guess we are just going to be having an early fall. The temperature over here is in the 60’s, cool but nice. Autumn and Spring are my favorite seasons. Autumn for the weather, Spring for my birthday (I already know I’m a loser).
I wish it would rain, not a drizzle, but pouring rain with thunder and lightening. Where trees move and shake with the driving wind and your out there screaming in a wide open field on the top of your lungs, but nobody can hear you with the other noises ringing through the air. A pouring rain where your clothes cling to your body and your pants become 10 times heavier than normal. A storm where you walk barefoot on the ground and you can feel the flowing mud run between your toes. Yes, that is the kind of storm I want.
Remember we are all under the same sky
Ashton Klutcher (27) and Demi Moore (43) got married last weekend. Doesn’t really mean much to me now, but it might mean something later. What if this becomes a Hollywood fad that turns into a global fad? What if all younger guys go after older women, women who if there had been a strange twist of fate could have been their mothers. It’s not just Ashton and Demi but there are lots of other Hollywood stars in this thing too. For instance Justin Timberlake (24) and Cameron Diaz (33) have been dating for a couple of years now and Ralph Fiennes (41) and whoever his girlfriend is? I do know she is sixty-one.
There was an article that I read, which is where I got this information, but unfortunately can’t find right now, stated some of the reasons why this bud might be starting to bloom into a flower. One, older women are searching for excitement, which supposedly only younger men have. Two, younger guys want experience, which is down right stupid. And older women want stupid young immature boys who can make them laugh. Okay so I have kind of doctored up their ideas, but that was the jist of what they wrote.
I think older women should stick with older guys. If they don’t they are robbing young bachelors from the nest of young single females. There are more women than men in the world right now, and the gap between the sexes of young people is definitely large, so they should just stick with their own batch and leave us to ours.
Tonight we went out to eat at a Greek restraruant. I personally wanted to eat at a buffet, but the Greek stuff won. The food wasn’t bad, actually it tasted rather good. We split a platter into two and each got one of the halves. It was pretty filling….for most. I am a big eater (bet you could tell no?) and I like food, and it wasn’t quite enough for me, but I am not complaining, I am just stating. We have plenty of food in our cupboard so I’m going to be hitting it in a couple of minutes.
What is the worst thing that could happen when you go to a restaurant? No, the worst thing, not spilling your glass when a hot guy walks by, or having a piece of toliet paper stuck to your shoe. It’s having a group of old gossips sitting behind you. And guess what? I did, four of them in total. “Do you know what Mary said?” Did you hear what John did?” “He went to the wedding with a girl who wasn’t even his wife.” and blah..blah..blah..blah! I had to hear this kind of stuff for two hours. TWO hours. I so hope, no I’m not, going to be like that when I get older. Eeekk..The worst thing is that they were going on about three people for an hour of that time. Man, those poor people. I would never tell those ladies anything, nothing.
Now I am off to the pantry. Till we meet again.

NO! It was only a bad dream. No, it IS only a bad dream. When I wake up it will be different. I know it will be. It has to be.
Greece didn’t really beat Germany 78-62, it was the other way around. Dirk did score 23 points but I know the rest of the German team had to of scored more than 39 points to finish it off. Right? NO, they didn’t. It’s all true. Greece did beat Germany. They got the gold, and left them with the silver. (Heh, but silver is stronger than gold, though gold is more valuable, silver is more useful. I’d rather have the silver.)
Atleast Dirk Nowitzki was the MVP for the tournament, and got a standing ovation from the crowd. And…and…maybe his madness and frustaration from losing the Euro tourny will carry over to the NBA, and then..and then…maybe he’ll win the NBA one. Except the only thing is that he played the way he plays in the NBA there, 20 plus ppg and such and such rebounds, so it won’t really make a differnece. But right now the thought that it might comforts me, so it might!

Today I went to the mall. I haven’t gone to the mall in six months because well…I haven’t had the cash to shop there. And guess what? I didn’t have it today either, so I just browsed. I thought it really funny seeing “little” girls (you know the 12-15 “I think I’m really hot” crowd) strutting around, with their cell phones and tiny shorts or super low cut, air tight jeans. Some interesting things I noticed is: 1. There wasn’t any guys around to notice them, and when a guy did, they would then look at him in disgust. 2. The girls looked like they would back stab you in a moments notice with out a problem. 3. They all had money.
I have no problem with the first two, but the third, the third is something that we all wish we had, but will never have. I will shed a tear for you, and a million for me.
Picture one and two: happier moments in history.

Wow, I don’t know what to say. I’ll start with this. Greece beat France by a 3 pointer in the final 4 seconds 67-66. Germany beat Spain by a 2 pointer in the final 4 seconds the won 74-73. So now Germany plays Greece in the final match. So they both win in the final 4 seconds, and both won the game by one point. To top it off, the both start with the letter G. Hmm…pure coincidence? No, divine providence. I’m so happy, so, so happy! Dirk is unbelievable. I’ll spare you the repetition, because I’m sure you know by now.
Otherwise today was a cloudy day with a few drizzles, but nothing big. I predicted Houston wasn’t going to get hit with the “terrible” hurricane a week ago. Sure enough, they didn’t, but I guess it’s better to be safe than sorry. But it was kinda a waste of gas and for all those people fleeing. Especially gas, like the stuff that we don’t have much left of in the world..supposedly. Actually they say we have enough for another 200 years, so I don’t quite get what all the fuss is about. By the time 200 years goes by, I’m sure the next generation will have found a new source of energy, and probably will have honed solar power to be cheaper. So why not just use what we have and be happy? Actually why don’t we just find the new power source now so that way the next generations are free to concentrate on the important stuff, like coming up with new drinks and party games.

This is so awesome. No, awesome just doesn’t do it. I don’t know what to say, dang it. I’m just to happy. Germany just beat Slovenia in the quarter final! Oh…I’m so happy.
What is my obession with the German national team? To be honest I have no idea. Well that might be lying, I do have a little idea. For one, the NBA is in off season, and basketball is my favorite sport, and the European tournament is the only thing professional playing, so I’m into that I guess. Second Dirk is my favorite NBA player, so therefore I’ve opted for the German team. Plus Ireland doesn’t have a team, and if they did, I’m not sure if my patriotism would run that far. (my dad’s side of the family is irish, hence the names Love, Quinn, and Delaney.) So yeah, those are my reasons.
Football season started. Finally! You know, they have the shortest season for any sport. Weird. They should have longer seasons. I don’t think, and I hope, that the Pats don’t win another superbowl. It just wouldn’t be right. Tom Brady…Brady…Brady…Brady…how my blood runs hot when I hear that name. He is the proudest snobbest football player, excuse me, quarterback in the NFL. Down with the Patriots. Go COLTS. (Ravens or Redskins fans don’t kill me, please?) Heh..if they don’t win it, which I hope they do. Go Steelers! (man am I going to be in the dog house.)

Here’s some pics of me and my good friend Jenny, taken while I was down in Cuernavaca. We first met when i was 9 and she was 16, then she moved down to NC with us while she raised funds to go to Hungary. Now just about every 2 years we meet up again in the states, because she is a world traveler. She’s been all over Africa and spent time in Hungary, grew up in Canada and the states, and now currently lives in Mexico. But this time, ha, i was
the traveler. I went to Mexico and I met up with her there. Hopefully that means our roles are changing, I will be the globe trotter and she will stay put in Mexico. Hopefully, is a small falling star.
Photo one: Just smiling.
Photo two: wigger/weirdo dance.
Also check out my new hair cut. Got it done while in Mex. What do you think?
Today I went to a clinic, and in the clinic there was a doctor. The doctor was a nice doctor. She did a charitable service. She unclogged my ear which was full of wax. The wax was yucky. It was brown and yellow. It filled my entire ear canal. I think you should know the state of my ear with all of the details, not sparing one. I couldn’t hear for a week because of this wax problem. But Mrs. Doc fixed my ear troubles. It took her an hour and a half, but she did it.
First hour she put this really weird mixture of peroxide and something else in my ear. It bubbled for 40 minutes. The other 20 minutes consisted of me waiting until she remembered that I was in the other room. Thankfully she finally remembered.
The next half hour, she (well her assistant) spent water pressuring my ear. It was painful. It lasted a long time. But now I can hear. I can hear! I can hear! Now I can say I have to ears, that work. I am ever so thankful.
By the by, I think you should also know, that this build up of wax is a life long problem that I suffer. My body produces to much wax. It’s horrible. It’s painful. But I normally can deal with it. But this time it was to much, way to much.
So this is my tale. Doctors can be useful, but they are also expensive. It sounds like most things no?

First thing that is way to cool is, Germany beat Russia 51-50 last night in the euro basketball tournament. Yes! Yes! Yes! Mr. Nowitzki had 24 points and 19 rebounds. I think he’s shooving the “softy” words back into all the faces of the people who spout them. Eat them! No, no wait..”hoover it. I said hoover it.” (Thanks Freddie Prinze Jr. for those classic unforgetable words.)
The second thing. Former President Clinton is speaking. Well he sort of has to because he’s a democrat, but still, it’s good. Put aside the whole Monica thing, he was a good president. When he was in term he was actually lowering our deficit instead of raising it, the wars we fought…umm…which wars?. And seriously who cares if the president did stuff with Monica? Obviously alot of people, but is it really anything new?
Well here’s an arcticle about Clinton. Enjoy.
I just wanted people to know, like the readers of this blog, that when I talk about politics, I don’t hate America, I hate the current government. Hate is a strong word, so I’ll say dislike. I dislike the current government. I dislike Bush. What’s interesting…49% of Americans didn’t even vote for him. Bush’s poll rankings have never been over 60%, since September 11 and the next couple of months after that. Here’s his current rankings. Right now his ranking is at the lowest it has ever been.
I had a long discussion with a girl the other day. She, like me, dislikes Bush. She had 3 cousins fighting in Iraq, one just got back and he is screwed for life. He stays in his room because he can’t talk to anyone, and when he does talk, he goes on about the 200 plus people he killed in cold blood. The military refuses to pay for his counciling and her family doesn’t have the money. She damned Bush, she cursed Bush, she said she wants to spit in his face. She says she agrees with Eminem. She is only 17.
What’s cool, is that I’m not alone. (which kinda isn’t cool, because I like to stand alone). Those 53% that are not so thrilled about him, are speaking out. I came across this today, and I thought it was rather awesome. Greenday is getting alot of exposure right now, everywhere you go you see a poster or someone is talking about them, especially since they just did a show around here. Their latest CD, American Idiot, rocks. It’s just so perfect.
But will Bush listen? Does Bush listen? Does he read the newspaper or look at the news and see that people dislike his policies, that they dislike the war, that they are tired of their sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, friends, and cousins, dying? Does he realize that everytime you look on MSN or Yahoo, that they is another car bombing, and 5-30 people are left dead? Will Congress listen? Is anyone listening?
