The Pens SWEPT the Canes! Going to the Finals…again. And they are going to win this time. I can feel it.
I had the worse sleep last night. Since coming home I haven’t been able to sleep well so I’ve been taking Benadryl to make myself fall asleep and also to help with my breathing thanks to allergies. It has the same sleeping ingredients as Tylenol PM. However, sometimes when I take it I have odd dreams that are kinda frightening for some reason. I had one of those the night before, so in an attempt to not have another nightmare I decided not to take the medicine last night and therefore had the worse sleep ever. I laid down at 11:30 to the sound of the air conditioner. It cuts on about every 30-45 minutes at night, I heard it 5 times after that. Then I woke up bright and early at 5:50am. Not able to fall back alseep I got on my computer and was able to chat with my father. It was great. I learned that he will probably be coming to visit me in July which makes me very happy.
Then I logged into facebook and was able to chat with my friend Stevie who’s in Bombay for the summer. And a friend of my bf’s, who I guess is a friend of mine now, and found out that she is South African/American and is in S.A. for the summer. That made me really giddy and I think its because another international friend has been added to my expanding friends list.
Also upon logging into write this post I realized that my blog turned 4 years old in Febuary. One of my first posts was about NHL’s lockout and the subsequent number one lottery pick by the Penguins and the signing of Sidney Crosby. It makes me happy to boast about the 3-0 lead against the Hurricanes in the playoff conference finals and the most likely rematch of the Redwings vs Penguins in the Finals. Go Pens!
I’ve decided to create a scrapbook of my freshmen year, and well as the years go by one for each year throughout college. This way I’ll be able to look back 10, 15, or 20 years from now and will be able to remember everything. Well rather whatever the book tells me.
Woot! Woot!
Duke is in and Hopkins is OUT!!! I’m so happy!
Here’s the thing if Duke can beat Syracuse and Cornell somehow beats Virginia the trophy is theirs. But if Virginia wins…it’ll be a little harder for Duke to win, but it can be done, as witnessed by my sweet 2008 ACC Champs shirt where Duke beat Virginia. However, it’s a new year, and I dislike those Virginians about as much as dislike Hopkins…pewee.
I know feel comfortable speaking ab0ut the Mavericks nasty lost to the Nuggets.
Not even one win…it hurts but you know, there’s always next year, and the year after, and the one after that to try.
But What the hell Nowitzki???? Cristal Taylor…really? You make that much money, could have just about any chick in the world…yes the world…and…and…and you pick Cristal Taylor????
I’m confused. I’m baffled.
Not only is she not pretty, 7 years older than you, and a divorcee, but she’s also a criminal.
Wow. Just wow.
Just wanted to through out a few of my favorite basketball commentators. Jay Bilas, Jon Barry, and Mike Wilbon is cool too.
My boyfriend is gone for the next 9 days. He went to Florida on a family vacation. His family invited me to go along with them but I turned down the offer because it’s his family’s special time together and I felt like I would be intruding.
Now I wish I had gone.
As I was helping him pack I realized that I haven’t left the Greater Memphis or tri-state region in almost two years. The longest I’ve ever lived in one city let alone one house was for 3 years and that was when I was 3-6 years old and I lived in Pittsburgh, and I’m almost beating out that number. I’m a mover, I’m a traveler, and right now I’m stuck in Memphis.
I have to take a vacation this summer. I have to go on a plane. I have to leave Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas. I gotta leave the South. It’s travel or bust. This is my summer goal.
I’m really happy with my grades this semester. It was definitely harder than last, and my grades kinda reflect it. But I passed all my classes! I’m done with math forever!!! And ever…and ever…and ever…and ever.
ever, ever, ever!
I got 2 A’s, (In spanish and English no less!), 2 B’s, and a C in math. Which puts me at a 3.5 gpa for the year.
I also bought a few gadgets from Mr. Soccer Guy, that was mentioned earlier in my freshmen year. We remained on decent terms. He’s graduating this weekend so he was cleaning out his apartment and offered me his TV, fridge, vacuum cleaner, and speaker set, for $315. Of course I took the offer, and now am the proud owner of a 32 inch HD TV, mini fridge and surround sound speakers.
My dorm next year is going to be ballin!
And I learned a tip that I shall pass on, hit up college campuses on move out day and you’ll end up getting a buttload of stuff. So many people were throwing out really good stuff because they didn’t have room in their cars, or they just had money and could afford to get new stuff for the coming year.
All in all today was a good day. I’m happy.
I’m so happy. I’m done with school for the semester. I have no idea about my grades and quite frankly I don’t really care right now. I just finished the longest final probably in the history of man. It was online and lasted 10 hours, over the span of 4 days and was 3 different parts.
I’m so happy I could fly!
On to finding a job.
I’m so happy. The Pens-Caps series is tied 2-2. The last game was awesome to watch. The Capitals got a goal that shouldn’t have counted. 2 penalties happened leading up to the score but the refs didn’t call them. But it doesn’t matter, the Pens ended up winning by 2 goals anyways.
My roommate just moved out of the dorm. It’s sad and just a little lonely. She’s transferring to another school next year so it’s a little sadder than normal. I’ll be moving out over the next few days.
Finals aren’t quite over. I have one two part test that’s due Monday and Tuesday. As for my other finals…I’m just praying that the professors have mercy and consider grading on a curve. But hopefully I did better than I think I did.
